Hi all. . .

Been away for a bit as I had a little project to do with the 3Racing F109 ride height . . . . It does not have one ?

Well mine now has a crude but effected ride height system All you need is some small scraps of GRP or plastic around 2 and 3mm in thickness

All I did was to take off the front end of the car and place on it the GRP / Plastic.

Next Drill the two bolt holes then bolt it down and then with my Dermal and a sanding cone shape the front end to match
Then with the little milling drill cut the slots as in below

Hey presto adjustable ride height with out truing the tyres all the way down and yes it does work I tried it out over the last two weeks and works

The next item I was against big time is the cost of tyres for the car around £32 for a set of wheels / tyres (4)

This had to change as this was a joke for model cars and at that price I was not amused so looking around my workshop and thinking about what to do I spotted my old Schumacher diff for the Mardave (1980) and it had the pop on sleeves . . . do you remember them !

Well that was it I set about making some and trying them out

Front and rear Glued & trued

So with an old set of rims rough up the inside edge about 4mm and with the 3mm ring again rough up with Glass paper and push down and leave about 5mm from the edge next carefully run a bead of your best super glue around the edge and then quickly with a sleeve push it down on the work bench and pull the sleeve off again so you have this

Then with a piece of insulation tape placed on the rim to make for a real tight fit

I place a £2 coin in the wheel to push on as the nut really digs into your thumb
