Post  Gazza on Wed Jun 02, 2010 2:55 am

So how many of you out there have a 3Racing chassis that you looked at and thought. . .
heck look at the weak points around the holes where the link arms go . . .

Well me to and I bought a New chassis ready to fit when it would get broke. . .
Well I did not have to wait to long it went a few weeks back
So this it what it should look like for those that don't run one

And here is mine I even filled in some holes with epoxy to add strength and to give the
ESC and Receiver some thing to stick to

So time to get some 3mm GRP and get me router out

Above bolt old Chassis to new GRP and away we go

Here I decided to make it a bit wider and add some more at the front side pod

Now you can see the link arms have more chassis around the holes so no weak points any more
Should have been like this in the first place Evil or Very Mad

Well I might as well do the rear pod while I'm here so I beefed up the rear pod as well

Well its for the Marshall's if any thing is wrong you know where the switch is hmm
I think all clubs should make this Compulsory to all model cars its a lot safer don't you think
LOL right my last bit is the front end you cant alter the ride height so this is my idea get some
plastic or GRP in 1, 2, & 3mm thickness and make these

there ride height spacers and fit between the chassis and front end as in below

You will need some longer bolts if you fit more than a 3mm spacer
Well till next time have fun
